How I’m surviving the apocalypse

I promised myself I would do better at blogging. I failed but I am not giving up. And here we are. Back in January I extracted a wisdom tooth and the recovery was harder than expected. That coupled with running out of antihistamine and not refilling my prescription had me unable to be of much use. I have forgiven myself and I am ready to move on.

Today marks 21 days of self isolation. I have only left the house to go walking and collect medication from a friend. I don’t want to talk so much about what it going on or offer advice. I just want to tell you about some of the things I have been doing.

I published another book! It is a book of poetry that I wrote around 2014/15; some of which you have seen on this blog.

Here are a few:

Heartsong

The light

1000 elephants

More

If you enjoy these poems and would like to read more like these please consider buying my book on Amazon. The kindle format is $2.99 and the paperback is $5.99.

  • On Saturdays and Sundays I meal prep and try to get a walk in.
  • On Monday morning at 9:30 I go live on Instagram and Facebook.
  • On Wednesday nights I participate in a live chat with Alicia (kinkisweat) on Youtube.
  • On Thursday nights at 7pm I go live on Instagram and Facebook.
  • On Friday night I enjoy another live chat with Alicia.

In between this I have been watching my shows and trying to finish projects. I am not forcing anything I am listening to my body and taking a lot of time to just be. I find I am more productive this way and the stress doesn’t affect me as much.

I am grateful that I have the tools to relax in this difficult time because it is very stressful. Last week I switched to reusable cloth wipes instead of toilet paper and today I started rationing my supplements. I have faith I will get though this and so will you.

What are you doing? How are you coping?
